What our customers say

  • star rating  4 Day Cradle Mountain - My husband and I recently did the 4 day Cradle Mountain Walk with Park Trek. Our guide Andrea, was fantastic and made it our tour. She was caring, full of information on flora & fauna and always allowed us time to look and take photos. We loved the challenges of the walks of which there were plenty. Marion's Lookout & Dove Canyon Walk were some.
There was plenty of good , healthy food for all meals and snacks.
Accommodation was very comfortable, clean & good hot water.
From start to finish communication was great
It was my 6th tour and my husband's 5th. Can't recommend Park Trek highly enough, a great company to go with.

  • star rating  Great Ocean Walk was wet, wild, and windy, but such an amazing experience - Our guides, Lorinda, Graham and Liz, were all very personable, skilled in group dynamics and had great senses of humour!
Their ability to cope with unexpected detours and changes to the itinerary due to the weather was inspiring and I always felt safe and cared for.

The meals were very tasty, nutritious, plentiful and varied - what a gem you have in Lorinda she even does trivia quizzes on the bus.

  • star rating  We did this walk on our trip to Tassie over 12 months ago, it was such an amazing experience and our guides Zane and Surran were the best and made for a memorable trip. Both Zane and Surran were extremely knowledgeable, professional and passionate, sharing their knowledge of the area, flora and fauna. Having two guides provided flexibility and accommodated different walking styles of the group and with weather and walking terrain challenging at times ensured everyone’s safety. Catering to various dietary requirements was trouble at all and so good to have tasty meals prepared at the end of days walking by extremely capable cooks! A trip to add to list

  • star rating  Fathers and sons (11 and 12 year olds) end of primary school hike - My son and I are just back from one of the most wonderful three days we’ve spent together. Six months ago, I suggested to him that as it’s his last year of primary school and his friends are all heading to different schools, we ask a group of them and their fathers to go on a hike together (towards the end of the year).
I contacted Park Trek and explained that we had a group of five boys in Year Six and five fathers and were looking for an adventure to share.
Park Trek, from the get go, knew exactly the experience we were after. They assessed the age and fitness of the boys – and their fathers – and suggested a three day / two night hike in Gariwerd / the Grampians. They then helped us prepare with recommendations of food, clothing and hiking equipment, and stayed in touch in the lead up to the big adventure.
Park Trek’s choice of hike was perfect. It was just the right level of challenge for sons – and fathers. Each day we arrived at our destination tired but in high spirits – and on the third day the boys felt proud and a sense of achievement. It no doubt instilled in them a sense on being able to tackle something new and deepened their connection to one another. Hopefully their friendships will continue beyond their primary school years.
It was heartwarming to observe the warm connections between fathers and sons – over three days of quality, slow time – away from the pull and distraction of screens.
It was also lots of fun sharing the experience with four other parents who didn’t know each other particularly well at the start of the trip. Perhaps we should have done this a couple of years earlier – given the connection that formed between fathers.
And seeing the boys’ reaction to rounding corners and seeing breathtaking views was priceless. My son cannot stop talking about the views.
Park Trek was exceptional. Great with the boys and fathers alike. Respectfully conveying the significance of the landscape to First Nations people and educating us on flora and fauna (without overdoing it).
I highly recommend such a shared adventure for parents and children. And highly recommend Park Trek as an organisation to facilitate such an experience. I have no doubt that the five fathers and sons will remember the time together for the rest of their lives.
